Custom Bidder Configuration
How to use your own SSP publisher IDs instead of Advlume's managed credentials, and how to enable or disable individual demand partners for a site from the dashboard.
By default, Advlume manages demand partner credentials and bidder configuration on your behalf. This works well for most publishers. In some cases — particularly for publishers with existing direct relationships with SSPs — you may want to use your own publisher IDs for specific demand partners.
Default configuration
When a site is approved and provisioned, Advlume applies a standard set of bidder configurations using Advlume's managed publisher IDs for each demand partner. This means:
- You do not need to sign up with each SSP individually.
- Revenue from all demand partners flows through Advlume's accounts and is reported in your dashboard.
- Advlume handles compliance, payment reconciliation, and troubleshooting with each demand partner.
Custom bidder parameters
If you have a direct publisher account with one of the supported demand partners (e.g. you have your own Improve Digital publisher ID), you can configure the wrapper to use your credentials for that partner instead of Advlume's.
To set up custom parameters for a demand partner:
- Go to Dashboard → [site name] → Settings → Demand Partners.
- Click the pencil icon next to the demand partner you want to customise.
- Enter the parameter values as specified by the partner (typically a publisher ID, placement ID, or account ID).
- Save. The config will be pushed to the CDN within a few minutes.
The specific parameters required vary by demand partner. Contact your account manager for the exact parameter names and formats expected for each SSP.
Enabling and disabling demand partners
You can enable or disable individual demand partners for your site from the same Demand Partners settings page. Disabling a partner removes them from the Prebid ad unit configuration, so they will not receive bid requests for your inventory.
Note that disabling a high-performing partner will reduce competition and may lower your CPMs. Only disable partners if you have a specific reason (e.g. a contractual exclusivity arrangement with another network, or a compliance requirement).
Bidder timeout and floor configuration
The global auction timeout (1,500ms) and price floors are managed at the platform level and are not configurable per publisher. If you have specific requirements for timeout or floor prices, contact your account manager — adjustments may be possible for accounts with sufficient traffic volume.
